Description
Lee Marvin (1924-1987) appeared in three films with John Wayne: "The Commancheros," "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance," and "Donovan's Reef," the last two back to back and directed by John Ford.
But he is best remembered for his dual role in "Cat Ballou," (1965) which earned him a surprise Oscar; the only time he was ever nominated.
The anti-hero Lee Marvin made both "Monte Walsh" (1970) and "Pocket Money" (1972) in Tucson. He never made another film in Tucson after moving there in the mid 1970's. He became a friend of artist Ted DeGrazia's.
