Description
Edgar G. Ulmer (1904-1972) was a world class director who specialized in extremely low budget films. He was involved in a scandal which black balled him in Hollywood. As was his National Film Registry "Detour," 1945, "Illusion" was made for the poverty row Producers Releasing Corporation.
This is a modern day version of William Shakespeare's "Hamlet." Warren William (1895-1948) was under contract for Warner Brothers in the 1930's usually playing slick, smooth talking lawyers or crooks; a sort of cut rate John Barrymore.
Just how did this conductor get so separated from his train on the White Mountain Apache Indian Reservation?
