Bikes were also a problem navigating during during Tucson's rainy season.
Russell and Hayden's shop was located on Church across from the Pima County Court House.
Both "Butch Cassidy" and "True Grit" were filmed in the fall of 1968 in Colorado. Some critics feel that "Butch" has dated badly, especially the bicycle sequence.
But the comedic banter, written by William Goldman, as marvelously played by Paul Newman and Redford is timeless.

The pairing of Newman and Redford was so winning that they were cast together again, four years later, in the Academy Award winning "The Sting."
Scott Joplin's (1867-1917) music was used throughout the Depression era film even though ragtime was popular decades earlier.
Veteran radio, stage and film actor, Paul Stewart (1908-1986), narrates this re-issue trailer.
