Artist's Description

"Hondo and the Apaches" (1967) is a movie comprised of two episodes from the TV series which lasted a year. It was Duke's last producer credit and the last Western feature Robert Taylor (1911-1969) made.

The outstanding Australian actor Michael Pate (1920-2008) reprised his role as the Chiricahua Apache Chief Vittorio from the 1953 film, which had been shot in 3-D, but released flat.

I am the last person cited in Jim Hughes' definitive biography of Gene, as I wrote about attending his final...
