Artist's Description

Taylor was the host and sometime actor on the show. "Days" was the first film to be shot on the newly built soundstage. The "Days" set was minimal remindful of the threadbare sets of the 'poverty row' studios in Hollywood of the 1930's and 1940's.

Taylor was a contract player at MGM from the mid 1930's to the late 1950's during the golden age of Hollywood. He continued working because he needed the money. He smoked incessantly during each break. Taylor died of cancer 18 months later.
