Description
This 300 minutes 15 chapter serial, released in 1936 as "Shadow of Chinatown," has the distinction of being edited into a 70 minutes 1937 feature and released again in 1942 under the title "Yellow Phantom." It stars Bela Lugosi.
Martin Landau won an Oscar for his portrayal of Lugosi in "Ed Wood" (1994). He discusses his transformation into Lugosi.

In the 1950's the only director who would hire Lugosi is the now legendary Edward D. Wood Jr. (1924-1978). Both Landau and Bela read the same lines from 1953's "Glen or Glenda." Lugosi's delivery is more poignant. His thick Hungarian accent had severely limited his acting roles.
