Description
Only in a border town would you have a trio of "Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo," a 1967 Japanese made "King Kong" epic and a Japanese slanted version of the Mirisch Corporation's "Midway" 1976, starring Toshiro Mifune who is given 6th billing in the American made blockbuster, a notch above Robert Mitchum who did his brief scenes from a bed.
"King Kong Escapes" stars Rhodes Reason who made his professional stage debut in William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" under the direction of Charles Laughton. In the early 1980's Reason starred, as Daddy Warbucks, in the nearly three year run on Broadway of the musical "Annie."
