Cowboy star Buck Jones (1891-1942) entered films in 1916 with more than 160 credits before his traffic death in the Coconut Grove fire in Boston which took 492 victims.

John Wayne supported Jones in "Range Feud" (1932), still being in the dog house with the failure of "The Big Trail."
