A lesser known aspect of Robert Mitchum's 50 year plus film acting career, were his ventures into composing and singing. He sang the title song in "Thunder Road" and "Young Billy Young," and tunes In "Rachel and The Stranger," "The River of No Return" and "The Night of the Hunter."
He was an accomplished saxophone player, co-wrote and composed the music for an oratorio produced by Orson Welles at the Hollywood Bowl, and even recorded an album of Calypso music.
As mentioned earlier Mitch appeared with Duke in "El Dorado."
