Artist's Description
Robert Mitchum is nearly enveloped by lighting gear on the sound stage at Old Tucson, Arizona. When the stage became a pile of rubble after the devastating 1995 fire, a corporate decision was made not to rebuild.
"Mitch" made three films simultaneously in 1947, one being "Desire Me" with Greer Garson.
"I gave up being serious about making pictures years ago, around the time I made a film with Greer Garson and she took 125 takes to say no."
"I think when producers have a part that's hard to cast, they say, 'Send for Mitchum, he'll do anything.' "I'lll play Polish gays, women, midgets, anything." Robert Mitchum

I am the last person cited in Jim Hughes' definitive biography of Gene, as I wrote about attending his final...
