Description
Patrick Wayne first made an unbilled appearance in one of his father's pictures - "Rio Grande" (1950). Eight others quickly followed, some where he had lines. His last was in "Big Jake" (1971). For "Grande" he was paid a princely $10.
Like many an actor, before and since, he appeared in quickly made and potentially lucrative TV commercials. This one for Texaco was made in 1972 in Casa Grande, Arizona near Stanfield where Duke co-owned a cattle operation, with the 26 Bar brand.
With Maureen O'Hara passing away at 95 in October 1915, the 20 years younger son of Duke should be the last survivor of John Ford's stock company he used in dozens of motion pictures.
