Description
One of the contractual obligations for movie actors is posing for publicity photos, often taken in front of bland backgrounds far removed from the actual film set.
In the heyday of the studio system, from the mid 1920's to the early 1950's, each studio had their resident still photographers.
Some actors, notably James Cagney, detested the sessions.
Duke talks about working with director John Ford on "Mother Macree," "Stagecoach" and "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon."
