Description
"Yellow Sky" (1948) is one of a handful of film noir Westerns. It was shot in a ghost town built in the Alabama Hills in Lone Pine, California.
Gregory Peck starts out as a bank robbing villain but is redeemed by Ann Baxter by the end of the 98 minute picture.
("Wild Bill") William A. Wellman directs with exquisite cinematography by Joe MacDonald.
{Screen Director's Playhouse aired a 30 minute radio adaptation of the film on July 15, 1949 with Gregory Peck reprising his role as James 'Stretch' Dawson.}
