Artist's Description

With the failure of "The Big Trail" (1930) John Wayne happily took any acting job. He is billed 8th in "Baby Face," with only a few lines. He plays one of Barbara Stanwyck's (1907-1990) many conquests as she sleeps her way, up the corporate bank floors, to the top.

The film is a cinema milestone as it is quite frank in its depiction of sex, even by today's standards. The Production Code was enforced a year later in 1934.
