Artist's Description

The last stage was driven to Tombstone in March 1903 as the El Paso and Southwestern RR passenger train arrived in Tombstone on March 27, 1903.

Longtime Tombstone resident Sid Wilson (1979-1981) claimed he was the driver of the Old Modoc Stage Tombstone-Benson run. He may well be the one holding the reins. Photos of Sid at the end of his life are on view later in this gallery.
