Description
In the late 1990's John Wayne, after being deceased for 20 years, began to posthumously endorse Coors light beer.
Product knickknacks included tin signs. This collector unceremoniously nailed them to the front door of his broken down (unnamed) used tire store in Coolidge, Arizona.
Shortly after the city completely obliterated his business and his piles of artistically arranged junk.
They would have made a striking "art installation" in a fancy New York City art gallery.
In 1962 Duke had a cameo role in an episode of "The Beverly Hillbillies." When asked about his fee he replied. "Give me a fifth of bourbon and that'll square it."
Duke never drank Coors light beer. Like Bogie he died of cancer. Both were heavy smokers.
