Description
"Sins of Passion" is an independently made exploitation film which has slipped through the cracks historically. Nothing is known of its origins; nor has any known print surfaced.
In November 1937 the Madison, Wisconsin censorship committee ruled that the film couldn't be shown at the Capital Theater but could be screened only "as an educational film in a school auditorium or some other public place." So it appears to be a sex education film.
Exploitation films used to be shown in drive-ins or at midnight in less than reputable regular theaters.

The cardboard cutout features 4' tall Johnny Roventini (1910-1998) who was a pitchman for Philip Morris cigarettes from 1934 until his retirement in 1974. "The world's smallest bellboy" call was heard at his thousands of personal appearances.
Supposedly he uttered his familiar call a million times, which is highly doubtful.
Here he only gives it some four dozen times.

The Philip Morris brand stopped being made in 1989.
